 Freilance Instructors and Their Dogs

Sharon  Karin  Rachelle   Narae

Narae (pronounced as na-reh) Kim is a devoted dog person. She wanted to do everything with her rescue mutt Zulu. Narae and Zulu had so much fun with great results at agility trials, Narae soon got bitten by the agility bug and now teaches agility classes at both Freilance Dog Sports and ARF. She considers Zulu her partner. Narae and her dogs are currently enrolled in classes taught by Sharon Freilich at Freilance Dog Sports and they are actively competing.

She also is very involved in border collie rescue through the Border Collie Rescue of Northern California as a volunteer foster care provider and trainer. She has rescued over 30 homeless border collies, rehabilitated and placed them into new homes. This experience has given Narae a solid understanding of how to solve behavioral problems and help these dogs find the best, right and last home for these dogs.

Her dog training philosophy is:

  1. No two dogs are alike, so custom train each and every dog.
  2. Have patience and give it time to make your dog a "thinking" dog.
  3. Keep your training sessions short and playful, with a sense of humor.
  4. Your dog can never do anything wrong, it is just your inability to communicate to your dog what you want.

Zulu Zulu (Rescue Spitz mix)
Shaka Zulu AAD, AD, PS1, CL 2, CGC

Zulu wants to do everything with his mama. He's an excellent agility dog, model, Freestyle dancer and a brave ranch dog who changed Narae's life and gave new meaning of happiness.

Bianca (Rescue Border Collie)
Beautiful Kim Bianca AAD, PD1, CL 2

Bianca was Narae's foster dog who got to stay. It takes longer for her to sort things out and this taught Narae to have patience. Her favorite thing is to be loved and wants to become a therapy dog when she grows up.
