 Freilance Instructors and Their Dogs

Sharon  Karin  Rachelle   Narae

Rachelle Carzino has been training dogs professionally with Sirius Puppy Training since 1989 and is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer as well as a Certified Behavioral Consultant. Rachelle’s emphasis is toward training dogs to handle real-life situations. Along with agility instructing, she also teaches classes ranging from puppy socialization through all levels of obedience training for the pet dog. She has received personal instruction from many well-known professional dog trainers, including Ian Dunbar, John Rogerson, Karen Pryor, John Fisher and Jean Donaldson. While attending Sharon Freilich’s agility classes since 1997 she has also received instruction from Susan Garrett, Elicia Calhoun and Rachel Sanders.

Rachelle’s commitment to continuing education reflects her interest in finding and using the best methods available for individual situations. Her 6 years experience as a veterinary technician has also helped her awareness of physical issues that may affect behavior. Her philosophy is that training dogs can be done without force or physical punishment and should be done with love, patience, understanding and a sense of humor.

Rachelle’s current partners are Kim, husband of 20 years; Pepper, deceased 7/03; Jasper, 7yr old Dalmatian; Dazzle, 4yr old Border Collie; and Missle, 2yr old Border Collie.
