I just got home from Portland the dogs did well. Weather was a bear coming home - lots of snow so I decided to stay in Ashland last night. There was still lots of snow around Dunsmuir and Shasta this morning, seems like it took forever to get home!

Classes will be held tonight - upper field is fine, lower field is OK.

March workshop clarification as I've gotten some questions. Workshops will focus on more intermediate concepts as they pertain to contacts: proofing, lateral distance, getting ahead, FC/RC rotations, turns, etc. Dogs must be independent on all contact obstacles (including the teeter!) to attend this workshop. It does not matter if you have 2o/2o or running contacts, they just need to be independent. Weaves workshop will work on all entries and more intermediate concepts like the contacts workshop as well: proofing, lateral distance, getting ahead, FC/RCs, etc. Dogs must be able to independently weave 12 poles to attend this workshop.

You all asked for more workshops, so I've added two on the calendar for March. Saturday 3/10/12, 3-5pm, Weave Pole Workshop (dogs must be independent with 12 weave poles to attend.) Sunday 3/11/12, 3-5pm, Contacts Workshop (dogs must be independent with all contact obstacles including the teeter.) Please email me for registration form at: fidocanq@gmail.com. I do anticipate these workshops to fill quickly.

The 8:45am, 10am and 11:30am classes and the Intermediate Workshop WILL BE HELD TODAY!!! (sorry 7:30am class, too much rain on the overnight.) Field should be perfect by 8:45am and forecast says clear for the day. Please bring raingear in case we get a passing shower. See you there.

The 7:30am class is cancelled today due to rain. It is supposed to stop raining early this morning according to the forecast. I will post about the status of all other Saturday classes and workshop later so please check the board before you head to class. If the rain stops, I will hold classes/workshop.

Well....it's been a steady stream of rain all afternoon and the weather report lists thunder showers with heavy rainfall tonight so Friday night classes are canceled. Remember, there is no class next Friday so I will hopefully see you all February 3rd.

If tonight's class is on I sure hope one of you die-hards brings a big thermos of hot chocolate.

My 5:30pm lesson and 6:30pm class are cancelled for tonight due to the rain. I know some of you commute in for class from further away so I needed to make a decision early. It has been raining fairly steadily for the past few hours and an inch and a half more is predicted. Forecast doesn't seem to show that it is going to let up in the next few hours. Sorry all. See you next week in the sun!

Due to the overwhelming response in registrations for the beginning and intermediate agility workshops in January, I will be offering the same workshops in February. For February, the beginning workshop will be held on Saturday 2/11/12 (3-5pm) and the intermediate workshop will be held on Sunday 2/12/12 (1:30-3:30pm.) I hope that this gives everyone the opportunity to participate in the workshops who wants to! I know there were some disappointed people who got waitlisted when the January beginner workshop filled so quickly. Note: The January intermediate workshop is almost full.
