Back from AZ, the weather was beea-utiful on Friday and Saturday and it rained on Sunday

Trip highlights:

Cirque QQQ on Sunday and had some really nice runs the other 2 days - he now has his TQX + 1

Scan - is running great and putting in good times ...we are having at least a bar down every run...phewy!

Thyme Thyme earned her CD but not without making me sweat. She needed one leg so I entered 2 days, Friday and Saturday. We did not show until about 2:00 and it was warm and the grass was really lush. On the first day she went down in the sit and on the down rolled - the judge told me to go get her...d'oh so we worked on that. On Sunday nice attention and heel work and going into the sits and downs we had only lost 2 points! We made it through the sit although her eyes were looking pretty heavy, whew! Now for the downs. I put her in the down and less than a minute she rolled to the left and rolled on her back which seemed to be an eternity and rolled over completely and remained in a down. Thank goodness there were only 7 dogs out there so there was sufficient distance between dogs for her to thoroughly enjoy herself.. .Had I NQ'd? I had no idea. Another minute passes and she put her head down and rolls back to her right and again spends quite a while on her back wiggling back and forth like a fish out of water (Didn't Jigsy do this too me before? embarrassment ). She rolls back to her original spot and doesn't get up and shake...I can believe it?!?!? We go back to our dogs - shish! The judge said I qualified - me? really?!?!? Yes said the honorable judge 'but there were substantial deductions for each roll'... well okay then....

We go back in for our rewards and the judge says "1st place goes to the rolling border collie" REALLY - WOW, not only did we win the class but we also earned High Scoring border collie in Novice A and B (there were no other BC's competing in Novice -but don't tell anybody!)

Yes, it's all about the journey~ big grin
